We went to my in-laws on the West side for the whole day, and even stayed somewhat into the night there to decorate their tree. My tree had already been up for a couple days, however wasn't decorated or anything. I wanted to try to make a tradition of going to Thanksgiving, coming home, and doing our own tree. That didn't work out too well, as both kids were exausted when we got home. So, we waited a couple days after to do so. Zachary is curious over the ornaments. What would happen if i took this glass ball, and threw it like this!!?? Wham... Crash... and Shatter later, I have been sweeping my floor quite a bit lately cause he has broken a couple already. He likes the noise I think of them shattering, and when he is done, he gets a look on his face like... Oh, Mommy I am sorry!! I am more concerned over the glass on the floor, but ofcourse this is just one of those moments in life of learning cause and effect. So, Mommy has taken pretty much every glass ornament on her tree and moved them up higher. I have boxes full anyhow, so I am not too concerned. Any expensive ornaments certainly arent going to be near the bottom, so we were safe there!
So, Thanksgiving was a great day! We had a lot of fun seeing family that we didnt see for awhile. It was most of their first times meeting Ethan, and ofcourse they loved him so much! Nana was busy cooking dinner, so she couldn't hold him much, however stole kisses here and there and admired her sweet new grandson. Zachary ofcourse LOVED playing with the other kids.
Jackie is about 2 months younger than he is, and he is so entrigued with her. When the bigger kids were wrestling Zach stood back and watched not exactly knowing how he was going to be involved, but he quickly thought of a way.... he ran up to Chris while the other kids jumped on him, Zach started kicking him. It was the most halarious thing to see a 2 year old trying to actually kick and hurt a 11 yr old. LMAO. Everyone was laughing, and Zachary got such a kick out of it! He gets so happy when all the kids are there......and loves the holidays when everyone is together!
Dinner was amazing. Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes <--- which I dont eat, green bean casserole, rolls, etc. etc. etc. There was so much food!! :) Mommy only ate one plate, and at that, it was only about 1/2 as Ethan woke up right in the middle of dinner. So mommy did the honors, and spent my dinner with him taking care of him.
EVERYONE RELAXING AFTER
It was then after eating their tree got decorated. Zachary LOVED helping!!! He kept thinking the M&M garland was real and tried to eat it!! So Nana finally got him his own M&M's to really eat!!
IT GOES OVER THERE EILEEN!!!
Roll of Lights anyone!???
Holding the ladder for Angie~~
Ethan then started his normal colick cry around 6pm, and with much effort of trying to get things calmed down, about 9pm, it was time for us to go home so I could get the kids in bed. On top of the hour drive home. Overall it was a great day!!
I cooked my own turkey at my house just because, and we didnt even eat it. Lets just say I am still trying to get down the whole cooking/wife/family thing. It was the dryest bird I had ever seen. I choked on the 1st piece of meat I put in my mouth, and decided that it probably wasnt going to work. Where did I go wrong!??? Hahahahaha
On to x-mas! I love the holidays and spending time with family!!!!
