I am SOOO nervous with the pending arrival of our little boy. Not only am I getting nervous, but I am getting nutty with the changes I have to make prior to, as well as getting Zachary mentally prepared he isn't going to be the "One & Only" any longer. I wonder who the transition will be harder for... him or me??
I have another U/S tomorrow July 1st. to make sure it is indeed a little boy. Everyone at work laughs and says I am carrying SOOO HIGH it MUST be a girl!! I think secretly some of the girls are hoping they screwed up, and it was a foot or a hand down there. But, I am almost certain I am not going to get news of any changes.
I am going to be in my house currently when little Ethan is born. Now, for how long all depends on how fast homes in my neighborhood start moving.
We have houses in our neighborhood that have been up for rent for MONTHS, and haven't moved. Our plan was to rent our house out and move into another house. However, because other houses in the neighborhood were not moving, we didn’t want to get socked with 2 mtg payments not being able to get our house to move at this time renting it out. So, we are going to be moving, it just isn't as quickly as I would have hoped. I am so glad we will be able to hold onto our house, rent it out, and live in another home. We have a goal to buy a 2nd house in the next 2 years. Our mtg. on our house right now is so low, we would be dumb to get rid of it, losing the net income we could make off of it, on top of the tax write-off at the end of the year. 6 months ago, I never would have thought I would be sitting here saying this. But, after doing the math… we just need to stay put for alittle while longer… for the benefit down the road.
So, Josh and I are moving back downstairs into the actual Master Bedroom. The boys will be upstairs. Much to my dislike--- I am so against being seperated with them, but Ethan will be with us for the first 4 months anyhow downstairs. We are taking the big room upstairs and turning it into a Cars Theme Room for Zach. It is big- he will have plenty of room for his bed, dresser, and his trillions of toys. I also have it where 1/2 of the storage room upstairs is going to be turned into his "playroom." So, he will be upstairs a lot while I am upstairs either taking care of the baby, or napping with the boys. I want to get a twin size bed, and maybe either put it in the storage room, or put it in Zach's room, and add on to his room alittle. I think I am going to try to spend my time upstairs as much as possible once Ethan is born. Josh will be working while I am on maternity leave, so it will be best with the baby waking in the middle of the night to be able to stay with the boys up there. Just how to make this work--- <>
Our room downstairs is being painted all professionally, and cute. I am going to pick colors soon. I think i am going to either go for the accent wall, or the two toned. THEN... Ethan's Room is going to be Zach's Room now. He is going to be very easy going, light, and really simple. Stars.... White, Blue, and Brown.
I ordered the gate for the top of the stairs that actually gets installed. No more worrying about the kids falling down the stairs, etc. Especially when I am busy with Ethan, and Zach & him are upstairs I do not want to worry constantly. Let him just go in his room and playroom and have fun. Oh those days will be sooo nice!! I think all I need now upstairs is a mini-fridge to keep water in to make bottles. Hahaha and then I have it all set, ready to go!
I really need to get Cox out there to run some lines for me. Too bad my brother isn't here, cause he is always handy like that. I want the cable brought into the rooms upstairs, so we can install a T.V up there. Poor Josh and his "Honey Do List".... it keeps growing by the day. Can you tell how much this baby's arrival is really starting to get to me?? I think the nesting phase has started, and I have 3 months to go!! HOLY MOLY!!
