Zach's 2nd Year Appt.

As you can see -- I have had so much to blog about, and catch up on!!

Zach went in on Fri. for his 2 year checkup appt. He is doing awesome. Doctor says all delays are gone, except for speech. Says he is an EXTREMELY smart boy, he just lacks the "want" to talk. He would rather have Mom do the talking or thinking for him. He can point at something, he can give me a look, and I know exactly what he wants, or what he is trying to say to me. Even when he is showing me something, going "Aye Aye Aye" it is his way of saying, Here Mom. He says normal words, and does some talking, but as hard as we work with him, and push is as hard as he is rebelling in wanting to actually talk. So, we are going to go at his pace, and just have alittle push by the Speech therapist. Doctor knows his vocabulary is very wide, because she can say things, give directions, etc. and he knows what she is saying, and does what she asks. He now gives dirty looks when he is asked to do something he might not want to do. Oh the joys of the dirty looks and rebelling son!

He is in the 50th percentile for his Head, and Weight. Weighing in at a big 28lbs. But he had a growth spirt, and is in the 75th percentile for his height.

He now tells us when his diaper is dirty, so, potty training will be in our near future!!! He loves the toilet, and flushing it. We want to get him a construction potty so it makes noise when he flushes it. What an inspiration for kids. LOL.

Anyhow--- I think this is it for now --- I am off to help paint and finish up his room!! Only 2 walls to go!! Hoooorrrraaaayyyy!!!!
